Missing Doctors Found Dead

KUALA LUMPUR, 28 Mac (Bernama) -- The two paediatricians from the Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital who were reported missing four days ago were found dead at Bukit Tabuh, Taman Melawati, Ampang here today.

Ampang Jaya police deputy chief Supt Amiruddin Jamaluddin said a police helicopter, involved in the search for the two doctors, found the bodies at about 12.30pm.

Dr Haliza Mohd Shafie's body was brought down the hill at about 3.30pm, while that of Dr Amin Tai Abdullah @ Tai Yun Ming, about 15 minutes later, he added.

He said a Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) helicopter was used to send the bodies to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for post-mortems.

Dr Haliza, 53, and Dr Amin Tai, 57, were reported missing by their families on Wednesday after they were last seen leaving their work place together.

Police found Dr Haliza's car at Bukit Melati, Ampang at about 6am today, following which a search and rescue mission, involving the police, the Fire and Rescue Department and the Civil Defence Department, was mounted.

We were really really shocked when we heard the news from the TV last night. Al-Fatihah for Dr Haliza & Dr Amin Tai.
