By Judith McNaught. I disloiked!
I copied the following synopsis from here.
Across the vast ocean sailed Victoria Seaton, a free-spirited American beauty left suddenly orphaned and alone. Eager to claim her long-lost heritage, she was amazed at the formal elegance of Wakefield, the sumptuous English estate of her distant cousin...the notorious Lord Jason Fielding. Sought after at plays, operas, and balls by London's most fashionable ladies, Jason remained a mystery to Victoria. Bewildered by his arrogant demeanor, yet drawn to his panther-like grace, she came to sense the searingly painful memories that smoldered in the depths of his jade-green eyes.
Unable to resist her spitfire charm, Jason gathered her at last into his powerful arms, ravishing her lips with his kisses, arousing in her a sweet, insistent hunger. Wed in desire, they were enfolded in a fierce, consuming joy, free at last from the past's cruel grasp. Then, in a moment of blinding anguish, Victoria discovered the shocking treachery that lay at the heart of their love...a love she had dreamed would triumph...Once And Always.
After reading The Other Boleyn Girl, I found out that there was nothing unusual about this book. Tapi nak jugak baca.

The Other Boleyn Girl
Well, if you say that the movie is worth watching, then I must say that the book is 10 times worth reading.
Phewhh… I took quite some time to finish reading the almost-800-page book – I foresaw that I was going to take a while.
I.N.T.E.R.E.S.T.I.N.G. is the word.
Cerita pasal 3 beradik; Anne Boleyn, Mary Boleyn and George Boleyn yang saling membantu antara satu sama lain (apa yang penting, kerjasama). See, this is why when MN asked me who the guy with the Boleyn girls on the book cover was, I answered George Boleyn. It was the King, by the way.
The Other Boleyn Girl berkisar pada zaman 1500-an. Kalau tengok pada cover, saya ingat cerita dia ala-ala Judith McNaught’s; you know, gatal-gatal, romen-romen…
But apparently The Other Boleyn Girl was more than that.

Double Standards
I had just finished reading Judith McNaught’s Double Standards. I think this is my first time reading her book, heh.
Hmm, I think I can go with her book – very light and no complication dan takde cerita lain selain...
*Like*

I could even continue reading till the end even though I had not wrapped it.
Oh, what is the book all about? About an affair of a CEO and a secretary. Boriiiiing...

The Kite Runner

I like the book. I like the way Khaled Hosseini wrote it. It's beautiful.
But at some point (in the book), specifically when Amir went back to Afghanistan where he met a guy who happened to know her late mother and Assef his childhood foe, was kinda 'boring' to me.
Oh, did I mention that this book was about Afghans? It was a story of 2 good friends; Amir and Hassan. And did I mention that they were actually adik-beradik susuan? Both of them were not nursed by their own mothers, but Amir's father paid another woman to nurse them.
All in all, this book (to me) was not really a page-turner, but the story (Amir) character that Hosseini created was alive. Like he really existed.
My next action is to watch the movie.

Remember Me? Is Still No. 1
Okay, I have finished reading SK's latest book, Twenties Girl.
Interesting story, but (I dunno) it was so predictable. Well, at least way better than Cecelia Ahern's. ;)
Till the next book!

I KNEW IT!
Oh-my-Gawd... I do not know at what time I fell asleep last night. I finished reading Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows last night. I-could-not-wait-any-longer.
Errm, actually, I wanted to write about it last night, right there and then while I was just finished reading it. But my eye lids were rather heavy. And now, I can't remember what I thought I would write about the book.
While some of you might find it difficult to accept the illogical plots in the series, I say that the personalities, the characters in the books were the most logical and realistic ones. I do not know how J. K. Rowling had had that kind of imagination. Harry Potter is a masterpiece.
Okay, back to the book. I loved the battle-at-Hogwarts scene, the spirit that all the anti-Voldermorts had with them at that time really touched me (I cried for that). But I think that was not the best scene in the book. I was stirred when Harry got into Snape's memory. Snape was a hero. (I didn't cry for that, though).
I love how the book was ended - so sweet and touching. Yes, Reena and KS, memang puas hati with the ending. Ron and Hermione were really cute both of them. ;)
In the end, you'll find out that Albus Severus, James, Lily and Harry are alive and live happily. How's that for a spoiler, huh? Tihihi :P
p/s : This time, it is not a scheduled entry. I took about 1 hour to compose this entry - quite time-consuming this blogging thing, yeah?

I Have A Theory
Or rather speculation (whatever the right word is)...
After reading Harry Porter and The Order of The Phoenix,
and just recently finished reading Harry Porter and The Half-Blood Prince,
I think Snape is actually on Dumbledore's side. Ngeeee...
For those who have finished reading them all, please let me get away with my speculation. Therefore, the 'comment' is disabled. ;)
Oh no, no, no. I haven't read anything from the Wikipedia. I don't want to spoil it like I did before. ;)

The Undomestic Goddess (The Book)

Buku ni best! Tapi, saya lebih suka Remember Me? dari The Undomestic Goddess apatah lagi Can You Keep A Secret? - dah tak ingat pun cerita dia macam mana.
And there, she was mistakenly thought as a housekeeper. So her life as a housekeeper began there. Imagine, a high-flyer lawyer lady turned into a housekeeper in just one day!
Bunyi macam mengarut, but the way Sophie Kinsella wrote really made the story interesting. ;)

A Shopaholic Story
I have just finished reading another book by Sophie Kinsella - Confessions of A Shopaholic (after managing to watch bits and pieces of the movie).
Gosh, I always hate the Becky Bloomwood character, okay (I've read Shopaholic Ties The Knot before this).
Kalau ada caranya nak lari dari bayar hutang, please let me know. I want to borrow some money from any banks to buy a house, and I don't want to pay for it. :P
I, hereby do not want to read another book from the "Shopaholic" series. I think I'd insulted my brains when I read it. (Read here to know more about Sophie Kinsella's books).
And this is the font of the book. So boring, okay? I felt like reading some text book or something.
Semalam, ADA HATI nak pi tengok kalau-kalau Twenties Girl dah ada kat book store. ADA HATI!
I think I'll just wait for MPH Warehouse sale. :P

Bila Nak Khatam?
Kak Zia dah khatam (tak kisah lah walaupun TV Series).
Saya bila nak khatam buku "HP and The Order of The Phoenix"??
Sebenarnya saya tengah berkobar mahu membaca the next book from Paulo Coelho setelah selesai membaca bukunya yang bertajuk The Witch Of Portobello. TO BE TRUE TO YOURSELVES".

One Book After Another
Or rather "one book before another" as I finished reading the book below before I finished with Breaking Dawn.
Well I guess the description on the book cover has covered it all.
I just put the link of the book summary here, alright?
And here's the link about Mende Nazer (if you want to know).
And now,... I want to resume reading this book (after having such a looooooooong pause)
FINALLY!
I finished reading Book 4 of the Twilight series during the long weekend - on Sunday night to be exact.
*Long sigh*
Let me just say "I'm glad that I finished them all".
To me, the climax was when Bella & Edward got married. After that, the story line was kinda draggy (again, to me lah). And, it was TAK ADA LOJIKA when Charlie accepted their bullshit about Bella's disease.
Nevertheless, I was hoping that Jacob would ran away with Nessie at the end of the book. But, NOT!!!
Okay, Linahilmin has been asking for my ratings on the series. So here goes:
Twilight : 2.5/5 (sekejap nak withdraw, sekejap nak maintain...)
New Moon : 1.5/5
Eclipse : 3/5
Breaking Dawn : 2.75/5
Those are my ratings, yeah. Of all four, I loved Eclipse the most.

Book 3
Sudah beberapa malam berturut-turut saya tidur lambat (sehinggakan saya lewat bangun keesokan harinya!), menghabiskan masa dengan membaca Eclipse.
Okay, let me recap; Twilight - about vampires, New Moon - about werewolves (Tak best langsung. LANGSUNG!), Eclipse - about both.
Still, I don't like Bella's character - sangat emotional dan berfikiran pendek. Saya menyumpah-nyumpah Si Bella ini - dah ada Edward tu cukuplah, nak pi pikirkan si anjing tu nak buat apa? (Oh, look who's being emotional now)
-1.jpg)
I was a quick wet boy, diving too deep for coins
All of your street light eyes wide on my plastic toys
Then when the cops closed the fair, I cut my long baby hair
Stole me a dog-eared map and called for you everywhere
Have I found you
Flightless bird, jealous, weeping or lost you, american mouth
Big pill looming
Now I'm a fat house cat
Nursing my sore blunt tongue
Watching the warm poison rats curl through the wide fence cracks
Pissing on magazine photos
Those fishing lures thrown in the cold
And clean blood of Christ mountain stream
Have I found you
Flightless bird, grounded, bleeding or lost you, american mouth
Big pill stuck going down

New Moon – A Spoiler Entry, Not!
You’ve been warned.
If Twilight was about vampires, New Moon was about werewolves (damn it!). Yes, WEREWOLVES (Auuuuuuuuuuuuuu…. Err, betulke bunyi werewolves macam tu?). Cilakak betul Stephenie Meyer, main-mainkan perasaan rindu dendamku terhadap Edward Cullen!
When I was at 2/3 of the book, I felt like writing a spoiler entry about New Moon (like who were the werewolves, what happened to the Cullens, and not forgetting the stupid attempts that Bella had done – she was stupid anyways *Grrrr*), so that you won’t need to buy/read the book. *Bitter* (for awhile).
But, as I pushed myself to continue reading the remaining 1/3 (I slept at 3 in the morning last night to finish it), I found Stephenie Meyer didn’t disappoint me like what I thought she would.
If you ask me, New Moon was quite slow in the beginning and I think Twilight was better than New Moon and I’d like to withdraw my poor rating on Twilight previously. Well, at least Twilight has slightly better ratings than New Moon if not the best.

Edward Cullen, I Love You (Too)!
And Stephenie Meyer, I hate you and thank you at the same time for creating Edward Cullen! Oh, Edward.....!
Okay, if you ask me about the book, on a scale of 1 to 5, I give 2.5.
I categorize this book as a romance novel (my very own category - don't bother asking how, what or why). For those who fancy romance novel, I think you'll like the book. But for me, the only thing I love about the book is Edward Cullen. Seriously, the story line was nothing new or different (to me lah) but Edward Cullen is one perfect character. Damn it!
Nevertheless, this book is still better and more interesting than Cecelia Ahern's
Next, I want to watch the movie, and read New Moon.

The Saga Has Begun
It arrived safe-and-soundly last Saturday. Okay, it didn't arrive as in literally, I picked it up from the Post Office last Saturday.
At that time, I was struggling to finish reading the last few hundreds of this book
I even brought the book everywhere I went (EVERYWHERE I WENT) and I managed to finish it last Saturday before midnight.
Just so you know, after feeling (emotionally) exhausted as a result from reading Dorothy Koomson's books, I decided to read the Harry Potter series. So I read 4 of the books in a row (including the above-mentioned book).

I found Book 1 to 3 very exciting. But Book 4 was kinda slow in the beginning (but I loved it anyways).
And now,... back to the topic. I am currently reading the first book of The Twilight Saga. I was half-way through the book as I was typing this entry last night (and hoping that I could finish the book by the time this entry is published). No spoiler is needed here! Thank you.

This And That
I've recently finished reading another 2 books - both by Dorothy Koomson.
The first one was Good Night, Beautiful.
The second one was My Bestfriend's Girl.
I loved both books. I truly recommend reading them, especially the latter - I cried a river as I read it (Seriously, no joke!).
I must repeat that I read at a super slow speed. A book in a week is fast enough for me. So when I could finish reading My Bestfriend's Girl in 2 days, it means the book was something. Maybe beause the plot (Whoa,... plot?? What is plot? I simply use this word :P) were simple - a domestic one, nothing fancy or techy - something that I could easily understand. And there were not many characters.
As for Good Night, Beautiful, it (the writing) was something almost similar to Jodi Picoult's. I was confused at the beginning, but then I got used to it and knew who's who.
At this moment, I can only recommend these two. The other one is still waiting in the shelf - I am currently emotionally exhausted after reading her books.
P/s: Now I know why we cannot judge a book by its cover.

The Greedy Me
I bought this pack
when I was not even half-way through Thanks For The Memories. I thought I was gonna like them all (still hoping, actually).
Well, about Thanks For The Memories (I like this book more than PS I Love You), it was about a woman, Joyce who had had to do blood transfusion after her miscarriage, whom later realized that she was behaving like (or at least had the memories of) the blood donor, Justin. She always had dreams where she didn't have any idea of them at all. She could speak Italian, Latin and French which she had never ever learnt before. And for some reason, they (Justin and Joyce) kept bumping each other and thought they knew each other.
Well, hmmm, I wish I could have at least a drop of Adolf Hitler's blood. Why not? After all, I am Adolf Hitler (check my Facebook). ;)
